I have two weddings scheduled this year and I am now officially half way finished. Not that I don’t enjoy myself while photographing but the post editing process is such a lengthy ordeal. If I could just print a proof without fixing every little detail my work flow would go so much faster. Alas I am destined to be obsessive when it comes to my printing. Fortunately this obsessive trait does not extend to organizing my closets.

The Isle of St. Louis is my favorite street in Paris. Full of boutiques, restaurants and very wealthy Parisians. It is also where I found the best coffee, cutest purse and friendliest shopkeeper, who gave us free post cards after learning we were from St. Louis. She had been to Missouri.

Started off the new year with a week in Paris. A wonderful city full of interesting cafes, people and art. A photograher’s buffet. What makes a great image for me is the process of getting it. I was walking past this street and knew there was much potential but at that moment it was full of people. So I waited hoping it would empty out which it did. Shot off a couple of images but then to my delight this man appears walking his bike. To me it was magic!

Living in the hospital for months has prevented this little girl from seeing her siblings very much. But on Christmas day her entire family was reunited and it could not have made her happier.

My wish for this family is that mom and baby would have more time together. My hope for this little guy is that when he grows up, he will somehow know how much his mommy had loved him.

I experienced my first official tea. Having a sister that is a tea expert, one might find it hard to believe that I myself have not tasted of this time honored ritual. But let it be said no more that I am tea illiterate. For I have passed the rum balls with the most sophisticated of tea sippers and donned the traditional tea hat.

I reflect fondly on my Christmas tea, sitting at waters edge in sunny Florida. Especially today, one week later, as I sit huddled next to my space heater in snowy St. Louis.

Saw the Cowboy Junkies at the Blue Note in Columbia Missouri this Saturday. Great band that has been around for 20 years. A special thanks to Ticket Master for re-issuing our tickets since we left the original ones at home.
